The scenes reflected in the following prints of Italy are in the hill country of Tuscany, the more mountainous Umbria region nearby and the Lazio region around Rome. I travel there usually in the fall. At that time of the year, the landscapes are breathtaking to me: the lush verdant countryside, the golden geometrically-plowed fields, the terraced blue/gray olive groves, the terracotta rooftops, all basking in the unique Italian sunlight which reflects the umber earth.

The small towns to which I am attracted exist from ancient times. I love and am continually inspired by their winding staircased streets, ancient walls and arches, romanesque doorways, balconies and windows teeming with crimson geraniums. For those who have traveled there, I hope that these prints bring back lovely memories. For those who have not, I hope they will entice you to visit.
